Sensex opens 100 pts up, Nifty tests 10,750

Benchmark indices opened on a flat note on Monday even as positive Asian markets that rose on US-China trade talks. At 9:15 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 35,879, up 70 points, while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 10,748, up 23 points. Asian shares were trading higher in early trade. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan added 0.3 per cent while Japan’s Nikkei climbed 1.6 per cent to hit its highest for the year so far. US stocks rallied on Friday with the Dow and the Nasdaq posting eighth straight weekly gains.
