Indices in the green; Nifty around 11,600

Benchmark indices pared early losses to trade flat in Tuesday's noon session. The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex was trading 22 points, or 0.06 per cent lower at 38,698, with Asian Paints, TCS, HDFC, Kotak Bank, and ITC leading the list of losers. The broader Nifty50 climbed over the crucial 11,500-mark to hover around 11,554 levels, down 4 points. The Nifty sectoral indices were trading mixed. Nifty Pharma index gained the most 2.5 per cent while Nifty IT slid the deepest 0.9 per cent. In the broader market, the S&P BSE MidCap index added 30 points, or 0.2 per cent, to 14,463, while the S&P BSE SmallCap index was ruling at 13,815, up 19 points, or 0.14 per cent.
